Replace RO filters when taste, smell, flow, TDS, or filter life indicates reduced performance.
Bad taste or smell in water
A sudden change in water taste or smell is one of the easiest signs to notice. Pre-carbon and post-carbon filters help improve taste and odor, so old filters can make water feel flat, salty, or unpleasant.
Slow water filling
If the storage tank takes much longer than usual to fill, the filters may be clogged or the membrane may be under pressure. Low inlet pressure can also cause this issue, which is why a technician should check the full system.
Higher TDS reading
A rising TDS value after purification may indicate that the membrane is losing efficiency. TDS should not be judged by taste alone. A proper meter reading gives a clearer picture of purifier health.
Visible dirt or filter age
If a filter has crossed its recommended life or water looks cloudy before purification, replacement should not be delayed. Using old filters can stress the pump and membrane.
Professional replacement is safer
Aakash Aqua Tech recommends using genuine compatible filters and checking water quality after replacement. Correct installation prevents leakage, loose fittings, and poor purification.
